We envision youth discovering their natural-born talents, developing the confidence and life skills to properly steward those talents, exploring meaningful career opportunities, and being inspired to make positive life decisions.
For adults, we envision creating opportunities to share knowledge, develop new skills, build meaningful connections, access resources, explore career and entrepreneurial opportunities, and use their experiences and talents to strengthen the next generation.
Ultimately, Assignment 808 seeks to create an intergenerational community where youth are empowered, adults are engaged, talents are developed, opportunities are created, cultures are connected, and music becomes a bridge that brings people together and moves communities forward.

808 DAY
What is 808 DAY?
808 Day is the signature annual celebration of Assignment 808, held each year on August 8 (8/08). Inspired by the legendary 808 drum machine that helped shape generations of music, the event celebrates the creativity, innovation, and cultural influence of music across genres.
808 Day brings together artists, performers, community members, leaders, industry professionals, resources, and music enthusiasts for an immersive experience featuring live performances, Culture Impact Honorees, networking opportunities, interactive experiences, music education, exclusive announcements, and brand activations.
More than a concert or festival, 808 Day is a celebration of music’s ability to inspire creativity, build careers, strengthen culture, and bring people together for life-changing moments for youth and families. The community giveaway of 108 pairs of shoes will take place. 808 Day also offers exclusive access to music & performance programs and recruitment into the Assignment 808 Youth Empowerment Program starts. Ongoing programs, workshops, and community connection opportunities that support the Assignment 808 mission will be available as well.

What Is Assignment 808 Creative Impact Academy?
Assignment 808 Creative Impact Academy is a creative youth-development, community-engagement, and public-education organization that uses creativity, mentorship, education, and real-world experiences to help young people recognize their potential and make positive moves toward their future.
The Academy delivers youth academies, workshops, parent engagement experiences, community initiatives, and keynote presentations designed to develop individuals, strengthen families, and positively impact communities.
The Five D’s
The Assignment 808 experience is built around five stages of development:
DISCOVER - Identify your talents, interests, strengths, and possibilities.
DIRECT - Learn how to channel your abilities, choices, and energy toward positive goals.
DEVELOP - Build the skills, discipline, confidence, and character necessary for growth, better decision making and success in life.
DISPLAY - Put what you have learned into action and demonstrate your talents, skills, and progress.
DOMINATE - Pursue excellence, maximize your potential, use what you have developed to create meaningful impact and life opportunities.
Who Should Enroll?
Assignment 808 Creative Impact Academy serves individuals and groups ages 13–21 who are ready to grow, build confidence, develop real-life skills, explore career opportunities, discover their talents, and make positive decisions for their future.
Participants will be separated into age-appropriate groups to ensure instruction, conversations, activities, and developmental experiences are relevant to their stage of life.
No musical experience is required. Music and creativity are tools of engagement, but the Academy is designed for young people with a wide range of talents, interests, and career aspirations.
What Does the Academy Cost?
FREE - Participants receive a four-month Youth Empowerment Training Experience at no cost.
What Will Participants Learn?
Through creativity, music, mentorship, hands-on experiences, and powerful conversations, participants will develop practical tools in:

How Often Does the Youth Academy Meet?
The Academy meets monthly during September, October, and November, allowing participants time between sessions to apply what they learn in real life.
Following each Academy session, participants will receive development assignments to complete at home. A two-week follow-up will provide accountability, encouragement, and support.
Opportunities for continued two-week follow-ups and advanced development beyond the participant’s first month will be based on the demonstrated commitment of both the youth participant and parent or guardian.
December Culminating Experience
The four-month Academy concludes with a December Culminating Experience, where participants have the opportunity to DISPLAY what they have discovered, directed, developed and the commitment to dominate.
Students may showcase their talents, projects, skills, personal growth, and progress before their families and the community.
Participants who complete the Youth Academy will receive an official:
